expiration date

Question for protect users,..
maybe a stupid question but,...if you set an expiration date for a pano,.....when it expires, would you then have to give a client an updated unexpired version upon expiration?? My thought was it would be nice if the clients copy would search a folder that we host to verify liense and validity,....would this be possible/feasable??.
