XML Only Thumnails merge

Hello, I am trying create an XML only thumbnail scroller by merging the open work of 3 great xml programmers.

The first is Mindlessboss' XML only thumbnail scroller http://www.krpano.com/forum/wbb/index.ph…ight=#post16476, adapted to work with graydon and michel's "follow_mouse" method in post number 10 of this thread http://www.krpano.com/forum/wbb/index.ph…D=2609&pageNo=1

All this is in order to achieve something similar to http://troissixzero.fr/plugins/13-plugin…ttes-carre.html but in XML only so that it can work with the ipad.

I have had minor breakthroughs getting the thumbnails to move with the mouse but it is a bit complicated.

Has anyone done anything similar?

mindlessboss scroller is all xml so should work on idevices also. it would be not hard to modify the code to display a larger thumb image for the near same effect. his is nice as it auto adds the scrollbar when the thumbs exceed the width of the plugin. you looks pretty smooth also.

Now i'm working on xml plugin for iDevices ;-)

Two problems - features limitations and touch.
VN2011 - i'll made two versions automatic and manual *thumbup*

I am more concerned with the effect of the scroll bar following the mouse position which can be seen in the 2nd post.

Mindlessboss, have u achieved any such effect in XML only?

It will be diffrent effect. plugin[].mask is not available in iDevices.
Two ways:
1 - scroll from border to border
2 - scroll by rows or thumbs
Tomorow i share thumbs design for iDevices with scroll.
But, smooth scroll with fingertouch is not posible now (mouse.stagex and mouse.stagey is not suported in krpanoJS).

look at this DEMO what did you thinking about this?
It's iDevices thumbs scroller.
Customizible: sizes, position, showup effect, skin, rows count, columns count. Thumbs count no limitation.
Auto and manual thumbs adding.
Is this right way, did you like this design? ;-)

Unfortunately, i can't add text (textfiled not work in JS when added dinamicly).

Add thumbs, doesn't add a thumb image, so it seems a little buggy in this part.
The style / method to hide plugins out of view seems like a great idea for iDevices.

it's pretty nice. the stuff u make is cool.

however, i dunno why, but im mesmerized with the "follow mouse" effect that is clearly seen in this plugin: http://troissixzero.fr/shop/swf/scrollc.html

is this reproducible using xml only as per michel's code? http://www.krpano.com/forum/wbb/index.ph…D=2609&pageNo=1 even if the mask doesnt work on idevices (can always make it scroll from screen to screen if that is the case).

This is swf demo (Here's why it's doesnt works on iPad).

BUT i test it in safari with krpanoJS and iPhone klient ype , works fine! *thumbup*

This is thumbs add function demonstration (just for test ;-)

) it's work after removeAll.
But you right, there's litle bug if scrolldown (i'll fix it ofcourse)

I can add "follow mouse" only for PC swf version. In krpanoJS onover and onhover events not supported, unfortunately.
I think i'll add wheelscroll to OrangeThumbs *thumbup*

Ok, now i'm finished my work on base thumbs xml plugin.
Wheelscroll and Folowmouse available.

DEMO (note: Folowmouse set to false)

You can add more then one thumbsbar
Works on desktop and iDevices! (only one limitation: mask not work on iDevices)

Have you tested this on an Ipad?

Even if it does work in Safari HTML5 it does not work on my iPad.

The only thing I see is a splash that says thumbs.swf 446 kb, Open in iCab Mobile. (thats because iCab supports download of the swf file.)

And your first demo, this one only shows me a white page.
