Border effect on a polygonal hotspot ?

I've checked the documentation and didn't see something about a bordereffect setting for polygonal hostpot. I've tried to write one, no success.
Is that possible ?

I read back my post and it's as clear as the london's smog. Sorry.

I'd like to add a glow or shadow effect to my polygonal hotspot, like a text effect. I've already changed the color or the borderwidth etc.. I've also tried a code like "bordereffect="glow(......,...)"" Didn't worked.
Is that possible ?

Sorry, the effect variable works for polygonal hotspots. I thought it didn't because of a mistake in my code.
