Problems making multires from large TIFF file

Hi

A few times, I have made a large TIFF file from PTGUI, and kmakemultires doesn't work.

For example, today, I have a 37060x18530 TIFF (0.83 GB). I put it into kmakemultires, and it says:

kmakemultires 1.0.1 (krpano.com - krpanotools 1.0.6.1)

INPUTERROR: not a pano image: hirespano-spherical.tif (-28476x18530)
runtime: 0.000000 sec
press enter to continue...

I have also tried saving it in Adobe Photoshop CS4 again, as ZIP, and same problem.

Please can you advise, thanks.

Hi,

there is a bug in the current version with the reading of the imagesize ()
(see the "-28476x18530", it depends how the graphic editor has saved the tiff)

try the 1.0.8 beta 6 tools, there this bug is already fixed:

Files larger than 2GB to 4GB. Plans for .PSB ?

I have created partial panoramas that are larger than the 2GB ( signed integer ) to 4GB ( unsigned integer ) limit for TIFF files. Currently I use the zoomify plugin in Photoshop CS3 to create the image pyramid. Do you plan to support the large Adobe .psb file format? When I use a robot to shoot partial panoramas it is easy to exceed a one gigapixel panorama which yields a larger file size.

Thank you for all of the hard work on krpano. I appreciate the effort and the quality of the krpano product.

Hi, yes, .psb is planned, but it will still take some time,
