How to hide on address bar on Android browser?

  • Hi,

I wish to hide address bar on Android web browser after the pano is
fully loaded (like krpanoJS hides address bar on Iphone's Safari).

I found out that the common solution is to call the following javascript
function but it doesn't work for me:

    <body onload="setTimeout(function(){window.scrollTo(0,1)},2000);">

It works for normal html pages (that don't have krpano panorama inside)
but doesn't work for html with krpano panoramas inside.

    Anybody have an idea?

    Thank you in advance.

  • You do not have a fullscreen button so I can not go fullscreen.

On my Desire Z I see the address bar at top.
I can use the fullscreen option built in Android flash by pressing anywhere in the pano and then click the button that appears at top but that will not give you real fullscreen.
You will get black at top and bottom but the address bar disappears.

For real fullscreen you need the standard fullscreen button just like desktops.

  • Hi,
I have added fullscreen button. Can anyone please test this

    link again on android phone?

Still the task bar at the top of the screen is showing in fullscreen
mode on the galaxy s2, whereas on the galaxy s the fullscreen
    mode works as expected.

I am curious whether this problem happens only on galaxy s2
    (android os2.3 - gingerbread).

  • Yes this works perfect on my Desire Z. Android 2.2 No bar at top.
I can see you included the fullscreen option on the map button also.
    Clever trick.

I tried it on my iPad also but you have an error with the paths.
It does load but gives loading error for plugin(map_bg) gui/map_bg.png

  • Hi Hans,

thank you for your test :) I believe it's the problem of galaxy s2
or android 2.3(gingerbread). For iphone/ipad version please
    refer the this link below
    http://www.panosis.com/biz/donghwa/mobile/html5.html

The loading error you have mentioned is because the resolution of
"gui/map_bg.png" image is 2,000x2,000 pixel. The mobile Safari
browser gives error when dealing with large images. Below is what
    mentioned in the krpano documentation:

"But due to the limited memory resources of the mobile devices, it's not possible to use the same large images as in the Flash viewer - e.g. several 2000x2000 pixel images will let the Safari Browser simply crash, no error throw or something..."

I realized that this error occurs not only for panorama images but it
occurs also for plugin/hotspot images. One confusing thing is that
krpano gives me "path error" message instead of memory error
    message.

Anyway, I will post again when this problem is fixed on Galaxy S2.

    Best Regards,
    hyung
