Wow I am having so much fun now that I can create partial panos.
I love this MAKE MULTIRES FLAT PANO droplet and MAKE MULTIRES PANO droplet its so easy to drop an image on it. ;-)

I have been taking pictures with a normal digital camera nikon without any sigma lens,but now I have to go shopping for the budget solution to take 360 images,I am clueless so if anybody wants to send me an email with camera suggestions and lens suggestions that would be great I have a budget of about $1000- $1500

I had looked at this new one shot pano GIROPTIC but thats off the subject and I want to keep this thread on how amazing krpano is.

The learning curve has been steep for me but now I am start to see real results.

thanks

Question

When would you typically use a scene? Would you put an entire tour like 8-15 spots in here? Or is this something for same panoramas taken at different times like you have one spot with day/night/sunrise/sunset shots?

thanks,
Milo

I can't make the editor and options plugin appear. Has something changed with the usage?

Holy cow! That is a lot of new features to start learning - thanks Klaus. Good thing it is Easter vacation time and I am not going anywhere and the weather is not looking like it will be sun anytime soon hehe

I think the answer lies here see example xml code - manually add items http://www.krpano.com/plugins/combobox/

just added the editor plugin by doing this in the xml file

url="plugins/editor.swf"
align="lefttop"
x="10"
y="10"
width="150"
keep="true"
onloaded=";"
/>

Question: Do we not use the plugin.xml in the same project folder *confused*

Hi, the plugin.xml was just an example
(note - plugin.xml was included in the krpano.xml in the 1.0.7 example)

Hi, both codes should work, maybe the not set keep="true" was a problem in your example.

Hi,

I have updated the version, now it's "1.0.8 beta 7 build 2009-04-05",
please download the viewer and the tools again!

bugfixes:
  • the passing of http get parameters (?parameter=value&...) for plugins work now again (as3thumbsplugin)
  • the hanging/crashing with the flashplayer version 10.0.12.36 was fixed
  • the "loadpano busy" on two quick loadpano/loadxml/loadscene calls without blending was fixed
  • EDIT (~22:00) - invisible hotspot fix

news:
  • I added an "onstart" parameter also for the <scene> tags - e.g. <scene name="..." onstart="..">
  • updated option/editor plugins

kprotect tool:
  • bugfix show xml parser errors
  • updated standalone flashplayers to 10.0.22.87

please try also the examples again, now they shouldn't crash, regardless of the flashplayer version!

best regards,
Klaus

Question
When would you typically use a scene? Would you put an entire tour like 8-15 spots in here?

Hi Klaus,

Would like to know the answer to this question as well. Because it is A LOT of work to convert our current multiple XML virtual tours over to scenes using just one XML file with all the panoramas included.

And would the performance be better and faster to put entire tours in ONE scene ?

So to convert or not to convert, that is the question. *huh*
