I'm making videos 360 in 3d. When I use the resolution 1920x960 the video in krpano is perfect. But if I use 2840x1820, 3000x1500 (different size but the same proportions 2:1) I see two black holes one on top of the image and one at the bottom. (see the image below)
Why does this happen if the images have the same resolution?

PD: Curiously if I use 1200x608 it looks good but if I use 1200x600 the black holes appear.

What equipment are you using?
If you use 2840, wouldnt it be 1420 heigh, not 1820? Other then that I don't know. Try different codecs. Alsoo open the outputted video in VLC or similar tool and look at the media properties to make sure its really that resolution. From what I remember, some codecs force a video to be in a certain aspect ratio (16:9 or 3:2)

I assume that you have included the video as <sphere>, or?
when the video itself is a 360x180 video but the aspect of the video is not 2:1,
then you could set the video hfov and vfov manually in the xml,
e.g.
<image hfov="360" vfov="180">
<sphere url="plugin:video" />
