It just takes 30 seconds to generate a standalone and test it.

From my test the standalone opens much faster than the fastest browser Safari on my 27"

The pano was a 5 level pano with max 8192 pixels cubefaces.
However flashversion may also affect it. I can see that my standalone was a Flash 10.1 and I have Flash 11 as browser plugin.

Browser speed is very different.
Safari is much faster than Firefox and also slightly faster than Chrome.

Actually this generates another question to Klaus.

The last Protect tool on Mac generates a Flash 10.1.85.3 standalone app.

However I had a 10.2.159.1 in my Application folder.
Updating it to an 11.1 did not make any difference.

Apparently the Protect tool has a built in generator which is old.

I did test it but i seem to get the oposite effects. Standalone has lag and the cursor will lag behind as well. I would expect a stand alone to function faster but it does not appear that is so.
