is display.usedesktopimages only for IOS ??

Have I got something wrong here.

I thought the new setting display.usedesktopimages should work both for IOS and Android.

But it only works on my iPad.

I tried withe a 4 level multi tiles + mobile and tablet images.

This made the iPad load the 1024 level
<display usedesktopimages="true" devices="android|ipad" />

My android phone loads the tablet images.

Thanks

Now I have another problem.
I would need a display.usetabletimages to force iPad 3 to use them.

I can see after testing 1414 pixels that it does not work OK for iPad1 w IOS5.1

Using <display usedesktopimages="true" devices="ipad|iphone" /> and just let Android use the 1414 pixels tablet images is I believe the best way.

But iPad 3 could probably also use them.

Would it work adding devices="ipad+retina|android" to all tablet tags like this

<tablet devices="ipad+retina|android" >
<cube url="panos/01.tiles/tablet_%s.jpg" />
</tablet>

<tablet devices="ipad+retina|android" >

yes, but using that you can serve specific tablet tiles for iPad 3 and Android,
