hotspot image offset with steroscopic WebVR

Hi there,

I made a tour with perfect aligned hotspots and everything works fine. Everything fits in the correct place on desktop and in VR-Mode,
as long as I use it only monoscopic -> lefteye background and lefteye hotspotpicture

But this is a stereoscopic tour and I load different panoramaimages for each eye, so I need to make different hotspot pictures, one for the left eye and another for the right eye.
They fit perfect with their background when I call only the left or right panoramas, but when I set the panorama images stereo=true stereolabels="1|2"
only the left eye hotspot is called, and fits perfect.

I tried, but I'm not able to call the left hotspot for the left panorama and the right hotspot for the right panorama in the correct place.

Does anyone know a solution to call both hotspots in VR-Mode and tell them to be shown in the right place on the left side and on the right side?
I tried a lot, but I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

Best regards

Hallo Klaus,

wenn hier einer weiterhelfen kann dann Du. ;-)
Es wäre super zu wissen welche deiner Beispiele auch im Stereomodus funktionieren.

Ich danke Dir für ein paar erleuchtende Worte.

Viele Grüsse Thomas

Hi All,
Brillant tutorial, i know have this working for 360.
Could someone post the steps to replicating this for a flat pano?

I have tried to follow the steps for flat pano but something missing in translation.

Great Tutorial!

Is it possible to do this but get the yaw pitch roll from an the unstitched fish eye lenses? See attached image, im not sure how to explain it, see attached file.

The reason I am doing this is quite complicated, I will try to explain
-I record the video same position as the last shot, same lens.
-I noticed a screenshot of the video wont stitch
-What i did was stitch the normal way 6 photos to ptgui
-Convert the video to photo frames
-Photoshop one angle with the video by merging 1 fisheye photo and put the video screenshot in the middle, this stitches perfect
-I render as layers, so I could bring it back as video.
-I have the video back i Just don't know how to properly place this in the panorama. The yaw pitch roll values I have are from not the equirectnagular image.

How do the values in the red area in the screenshot translate to a distorted hotspots xml element?

If PTGui 11 is used, the value will not be correct?

I used PTGui 10 so far, I was able to correctly arrange distorted hotspots.

However, if you do the same operation with PTGui 11, there seems to be a slight deviation.

Does anyone know the cause and measures?

One of the difference between PTGui 10 and PTGui 11 is the use of a lens database, so the lens parameters are perhaps not exactly the same in your 2 tests... i would check 'Lens Setting' tab...

Is it possible to add this to an existing panorama tour created in Panotour from Kolor?

I was able to follow this tutorial and set up a single panorama with this effect, but just want to check if this should work by manually adding this to a Panotour project, before I dive in and spend some hours trying :)

The reason I'm asking is that I've been using the OpenDoor Panotour plugin from Michael:

...but there is a flickering problem when loading the overlayed images, see here if interested:…t=46281#p218649

Kind Regards

Sure, that's just some action code that will define the hotspot position...

Glad to hear! Looking forward to try this out.

I've been getting some strange projection problems when using this method. The overlayed images seem to be squashed vertically. A demo can be seen here, look at the top and bottom of the overlayed image:

So if I overlay something which has a small vertical dimension, I barely notice this, since the squashing is more the further you go from the center.

I'm actually using Panotour Pro and the OpenDoors plugin from Michael Brüning:

I believe he's only packaging this method into a plugin for Panotour. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Has anyone been experiencing this? Or is this maybe something connected with the Panotour plugin?

Looks correct for me... *confused*

Do you have a screenshot about the problem?

I've managed to fix this. Seems like I accidentally had switched on vertical compression in PTGui.

Ahh that's because I just fixed it :) Thansk for looking into it though!

I would like to share how to install a patch from PTGui to krpano using the example of the oven door opening and how to make a button.
