question on "converttocube" option of the kmakemultires command

  • Hi,

I noticed that when I use "converttocube=true" (the default setting), I'm getting some rectangular tile images created as well as the square images. If I use the "MAKE PANO (MULTIRES) droplet" tool, I don't see these rectangular images created even though from the command output, I saw that there's a step which converts the sphere image to cube format.

    Here's the command I used:
    ./kmakemultires ~/Downloads/266060.JPG -levels=2 -xml=false -html=false -quiet=true -copyswf=false -tilesize=512 -cspreview=false -makethumb=true

So what are these rectangular image tiles and how do I get rid of them. I can get rid of them by speceifying "-converttocube=false". But the documentation says that "converttocube" gives better quality and performance so I'm not sure whether I should disable it.

    Thanks,
