Settings for touchtype="moveto"

I have found that using touchtype="moveto" gives me a much smoother panning on my iPad especially when using many hotspots which interferes with the movements.

However there are no ways of controlling the speed or not even the friction. Touchfriction has no effect on moveto.

I think this is a large lack in the controls for touch devices. Maybe also an option for reversing the movement and perhaps some sort of horizont control which keeps the panning at horizont so that you need a larger movement to tilt.

Hi,

hmm, there is no technical reason why 'moveto' should be smoother than 'drag2d'...
and on my test devices I don't see any difference in kind of 'smoothness'...

However there are no ways of controlling the speed or not even the friction. Touchfriction has no effect on moveto.
the mouse/desktop controlling settings were used also on touch devices, which means the 'speed' when using moveto mode can be controlled by:
http://krpano.com/docu/xml/#control.mouseaccelerate
http://krpano.com/docu/xml/#control.mousespeed
http://krpano.com/docu/xml/#control.mousefriction

'reversing the movement' ?
how do you mean that...

the drag2d control works that way: 'you pick a point in the pano and drag/move that point around'
doing 'pick and the moving in the opposite direction as moved' doesn't makes sense... or?

about 'horizont control which keeps the panning at horizont so that you need a larger movement to tilt':
here the same - for direct dragging that doesn't make sense, but for the moveto control there is already the
http://krpano.com/docu/xml/#control.mouseyfriction
setting, which can be used for that and that works in the HTML5 viewer too,

best regards,
Klaus
