krpanoiphone.js 1.8.15 too greedy !

  • I had several crash on iphone with the 1.8.15 version...
    First I thought it was because it was using 1024px cube instead of 512px in the 1.8.14 version, so I made a 1.8.14 version to check and it incomparable !
    With 1.8.14 it's very smooth and no crash, with 1.8.15 it doesn't moove well and crash sometimes my iphone 3GS...

    Problem : I was using the bingmap.js plugin wich is not available on 1.8.14...

    You can try both of the versions :

    Klaus PLEASE debug the 1.8.15 or make the bingmap.js plugin available for 1.8.14 !

    the 1.0.8.15 version isn't too greedy and there is nothing to 'debug' in this case!

    First please read this whole thread:
    Bug with IOS 6 and iphone

    There is a problem with iOS6 and the iPhone 3GS (and the iPod Touch 4.gen) - iOS6 renders the images wrongly/squished in some (low memory?) situations (this is a iOS6 bug).

    To avoid that iOS6 bug, krpano 1.0.8.15 uses the automatically html5rendermode=2 on iOS6 and the iPhone 3GS.
    Due this, the rendering itself is correct, but also a bit slower (iOS related, for krpano code performance itself this doesn't matter).

    But you could try using 512px images and forcing html5rendermode=1 for your 3GS,
    e.g.
