offline tours on iPad

For your interest I came across a great app for your ipad if you want to demonstrate tours offline. It's called OfflinePages and I've worked them a little to fix a few bugs we had originally, you'll see in the notes for version 1.6 'improved support for vr panoramas'. Please note though that I get no commision for refering you, I just wanted to share a great product.

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/offline-…d391462107?mt=8

The programme couldn't be easier to use, you copy and paste in your tour link while you have wi-fi access, click to download it offline and then come back to it when your offline. It keeps all your popups etc and I use it as portfolio all the time now.

It's far easier than copying all your files to Good Reader and I found that screwed up the gyro function anyway.

Give it a go and let me know what you think. Well worth £6.99!

Adrian

JGBrock, no problem, it's nice to be able to offer something back to the group!

Tuur, you upload your tour as normal to your server then find the url in safari, copy and paste it into here. It does what it says and simply lets you bookmark a webpage, the only difference is that this app successfully loads all the necessary files too. Let me know if I can help further, it really is a great app!
Many thanks,

Yes great application,

Another one is to consider iBooks(r) Apple.
Example : Echaillon Quarries which includes a virtual tour of 16 panoramas, p.10

This APP is too expensive and I doubt it will work for tours. It will never be possible without a cache manifest file. XML links does not work for downloading anything.
There are several good solutions which can download zipped tours like Site 2 Go HD, HTML Books and of course Goodreader.

Another one is HTML Presenter but it has the same problem as Goodreader to show the menu.
