Hello all!
Thank you very much in advance for helping.
I've made the following example to use in this thread:
http://www.clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…l/with_www.html
This is the great Krpano iPad simulator, loading the following files:
http://www.clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…/files/devel.js
http://www.clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…files/devel.swf
http://www.clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…/files/tour.xml
As you can see, everything has 'www' on the url and everything works ok.
Now please try the following link:
http://clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…l/with_www.html
Same url but WITHOUT 'www'
I get the following error:
"http://www.clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…/files/tour.xml - loading or parsing failed"
I know that tthe file tour.xml is there and that its content is correct because it was fine before.
I think the reason why it's not loading it's because javascript cross-domain is preventing to load it, due it considers "http://clients..." and "http://www.clients..." being two different domains.
Inside tour.xml I have set crossdomain.xml location:
I just mention it although is irrelevant as this only applies to Flash (I think)
This issue also appears in a the opposite case:
http://clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…ithout_www.html
The files loaded are:
http://clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…/files/devel.js
http://clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…files/devel.swf
http://clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…/files/tour.xml
It doesn't work if I use the following url:
http://www.clients.tourvista.co.uk/vt/gforces/sho…ithout_www.html
Is there a way to make html5 load tour.xml, doesn't matter if there is "www" or not in the url?
Thanks!!!
NOTES:
I can see this behavior in a real iPad too, so it's nothing to do with the Krpano iPad simulator.
I know that for this particular case, loading files using "http://" is not necessary, but this is an example. In real life, the virtual tour would be hosted in our server and the html file would be in our clients server-domain.
I prefer to embed the virtual tours not using iframes as they don't work nicely with the gyroscope
Cheers!
