Seams in my tours

  • Hey guys,
Recently I started noticing rather visible seams in some of my scenes(not all of them). Here are the screenshots (http://imgur.com/otmVgw6,HK8w9JE#0 http://imgur.com/otmVgw6,HK8w9JE#1). I'm not 100% sure if it is my machine, image itself or the krpano. It came to a point that ignoring those seams is impossible. Could someone try the panorama in this link?http://www.flickr.com/photos/1009110…749390/sizes/o/

I'd like to know if anyone else gets the same effect.. What do you think is causing it?

  • I see the seam also in the jpg.

You can always use FSPViewer64.exe to instantly test 360's (I just drag & drop into the .exe file I leave on my desktop)

Looks like it's probably caused during the stitching or sometimes if you send it through HDR software like Photomatix Pro the exported results have lines like that. It's not krpano.

What stitching software do you use?

  • Thanks. Thats good to know.
We are using Stitcher which sucks. Sometimes we need to manually stitch(not this panorama though) and then we put it though Lightroom. For this particular spin, we only did basic editing in Lightroom such as vibrance, contrast ,etc.

  • If lightroom works the same way as Adobe Camera Raw try doing the editing to the raw images in lightroom first before you stich them all together. With CR I select all the raw images and so make the same changes to all at the same time.

Not sure what stitcher is? Is it the overpriced software by Autotdesk?. Have a go with PTGUI Pro (there's a free demo version) and see how that workflow is for you. I've used it for years and would be pushed to switch to anything else. It stitches raw images also but I like to convert to tif first. There's also a yahoo Group called PanoToolsNG that covers ptgui and a fair few posts already there for lightroom.

  • may be you edit your Equiretangular already image of panorama in photoshop and use plugins(HDR FX, Color FX, Shadow/hightlights and etc.)?
Then there are those seams of the color and light differents! *tongue*

Panoreal — to make and see this wonderful world! *whistling*
