Hi,
please see here:
iOS 8.0 beta and WebGL support
Klauss, any plans about an webgl version for 360 video release ?
Basically yes - the part in the next krpano version about 360 videos support with WebGL itself is almost fully finished - BUT - iOS 8 (beta) unfortunately doesn't allow using HTML5 videos as WebGL textures - so pano videos will be still not possible on iOS...
Best regards,
Klaus
Thanks for your answer. I had the same security error with an HTML5 proof of concept of a 360 video player using 3D library.
Hope they will fix this before releasing the RC of iOS 8.

Klaus, things are moving on the right direction.
A patch was proposed in the bugzilla of webkit.
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133511
Hope it will be included in iOS 8 beta 3...
Yes, I saw, that's are indeed good news for video pano support .
Hi Klaus,

Hi Klaus,
Do you think it is technically possible to play 3D360 video in a side-by-side layout? current I have to giveup half of the resolution to fit 2 spherical video into 1920x960 for displaying my content in other mobile apps. thx

Hi,

That's on my list for future versions of course, but the next 1.18 version will not included that.
Best regards,
Klaus
Will stereographic transformations (specifically little planets) also be possible to use in iOS 8?
