Possible to ease into gyro orientation at start?

I notice that when you enable gyro mode it jumps abruptly to position, even if friction is set as high as possible. I would prefer that it ease into correct orientation as if friction were set high from the beginning. Is there a way to do that?

I would like to have a solution for that, too...

question is, if you can get the gyro coordinates if it's not enabled, yet...
then you could read the values, tween first, and then enable the gyro.

you could save the gyros hlookat and vlookat in the plugin layer, even if its not enabled :)
or is there already a way to get them?
