16Bit doesnt work

hi!

i tried to convert an equi, 16Bit PS-TIF, colorspace ProPhoto to a ready pano;
the temp cubes seem to be ok, but the final result is really weird:

whats going wrong?

Hi Machart,

I have just made a try too... and the result was a little bit psychedelic as your ....
So, I have resaved the file erasing the alpha channel (only saving the RGB channels) and the result is much better . Perhaps Ktransform does not like the alpha channel ...

KLAUS, it seems there is more work for you ...

the sources don´t have a alpha-channel...
btw: zip-compressed...

Hi machart,

I have just tried with a LZW compressed tiff file and it worked... but erasing the alpha channel...
There must be no alpha channel at all... although an alpha with no data in it ...

So make sure to erase the alpha chanel.... for me it worked...

i always delete the alpha channels... im shure there is none in the equi source...

there is a new version online (build 2009-12-06),
it should solve the 16bit problems,

wow, thank you, klaus!

now it works... with (not so common) 16bit tif/zip compression...

the new tools are a really powerful suite! absolutely great...

Hi Klaus,

For me, Ktransform continues not working when an alpha channel is present in the 16bit tiff file (the colours look as "out of phase" ).... When I delete the alpha channel, it works. This problem does not happens on 8bit tiff files with an alpha channel...

thanks, I see now, the red and blue channel are swapped in this case,
I will do more analyses and tests and then upload again a new version
