google maps plugin not working after adding api-key

Hello,
i use krpano 1.20.9 (registered) with the built in google maps on the menue.
after adding the maps_google_api_key on skin_settings in the tour.xml the map loads for a second and then disapperas with the attached error page.
i have registered an api key for google maps on google cloud console.

Any idea why?

Figuret out how to get it work:
console gives me the ApiNotActivatedMapError.
Reason:

The Maps JavaScript API is not activated on your API project.
You may need to enable the Maps JavaScript API under APIs in
the Google Cloud Console.
