This is the zFlare - Lensflare Plugin Thread

zFlare is a lensflare plugin to enhance the visual effect of your panorama images.

zFlare is a plugin providing a nice lensflare and the possibility to create your own flare compositions.
For this you would need flare images jgp or png and set up <flarespot> elements as shown in the examples.

zFlare does not need zFilter, but you can use it to make the look even more realistic.
For example with brightening, blurring and color shifting the panorama when looking directly into the sun.
All of this works with the existing zFilter plugin, there is no update needed.

zFlare and zFilter are separate plugins, but there is a discount if bought as package
Additionally until 31.12.2021 there is a CHRISTMAS DISCOUNT of 20% for all of my plugins !

Hi. Where can I see more than one example (than what is on the sales page) i.e. On real projects?

Also, in accordance with the license agreement, can I change the lensflare pattern myself after purchase? Is there an option to do this? Regards, Gumir.

Yes of course, zFilter is made specifically to allow that,

you can change the existing or create completely new lensflares !

you can use your own pngs and set the behaviour for each flare spot as you like.

there are even debugging functionalities, eg set mark="true" to see each spots center and direction.

with zFlare you can create simple and complex flares in every way you like.

you'd have to dive in and experiment, but i'd love to see users making their own flares!

maybe to explain that a bit more :

in the example (see tour-complex xmls) you see the flare spot definitions

you can change the parameters, create new flare spots etc

a <flare> is a set of any number of <flarespot>s

you could copy paste all the flarespots and assign a new flare name (change "summer01" to "myflare")

then you would have the flares "summer01" and "myflare" for use in your scenes.

like this you can have different flares for different scenes,

or even use multiple flares in different positions in the same scene.

Hi, the example posted is impressive! as well as the listed capabilities of your plugin. I just bought a "free plugin", in an open source deal from author (https://krpano.com/plugins/userplugins/lensflare-free/). The reason is that it loads the system from a permanent loop of tracing the coordinates of elements and for an advanced tour with more other elements and processes, this takes on alarming proportions. So I have requested the real project virtual tour for understanding... Via your example - plugin does not load the processor much because, it is written mostly in JS.

If I do not achieve the required results from a custom modification of the above plugin. Then I will have to turn to your solution or in the future I will have a couple of different solutions including yours. Thank you for your time with me. Have a good day. Best regards, Gumir.

zFlare is performance optimized (javascript only) and correctly handles scene changes, enter/exit V, 3D scenes, etc.

in xml you only set the <zflare> element to define the position of the light source

(or define flarespots to have more presets)

I have used zFlare in a few projects and also did some 3d tests with it. It is a pleasure to use it, and it performed very well.

Keep in mind i'm a 'Z' fan

you'll get a permanent license for free.

i have another question, is it possible to add flare by programming?

i explain : in a big virtual tour i used old lensflare plugin, now with krpano 1.2 lensflares don't appears... i have to add lensflare in more than 2000 pano, i can't do that one by one...

Before i had a lensflare file (lensflare.xml) like this :

hi clio,

sorry, that plugin doesn't has no relation to zflare.

after having loaded the plugin, the syntax is :

<flare name="sun" preset="summer01" ath="35" atv="-15" />

but maybe you can convert your lensflare.xml simply by text replacements

can you send me that xml by PM (personal message) ?

also maybe a link to the tour, if online ...
