New Forum Software

Hi,

Today my web-hoster (unexpectedly ) updated the MySQL version from 5.7 to 8.0 (because MySQL 5.7 is officially end-of-life) - and the existing forum-software unfortunately wasn't compatible with MySQL 8.0 and manually porting it would have been too much affords...

Therefore it was necessary to switch/update to a new forum software (the latest one from Woltlab).
The new forum software is not directly compatible with the old one, but all old data should have been transferred and the old links should also be still working.

The design and layout and several details are still work-in-progress and will be changed step by step during the next days.

Btw - if there are certain wishes or feature-requests for the forum, please let me know now. ;)

Is there really one? An unread mark would be nice, but I have to admit I haven't seen one yet...

The language of the Forum can be changed individually in the Profile settings.

Hi,

a small Forum update:

• The default Forum design/style has been reverted to the one of the previous Forum software.
• Alternatively, the new standard design of the current Forum software is also available.
  It can be changed either via the 'Change Style' button at the bottom or in the Profile settings.
• There is a new 'Unread' button at the right-top to mark threads for reading later.

Falls nur Deutsch ausgewählt ist, werden nur Beiträge welche als Deutsch markiert wurden angezeigt und dies könnte die Anzeige erklären...
