Krpano project in Shared Hosting issue

Hi, I am using a Shared Hosting that is causing the loading of the tiles to fail.

In the worst possible scenario:

1) What would be the most reasonable configuration of <network ... />?

I already tried maxdownload="1" and maxrequest="1" and it was not enough.

2) Is there any way to never, ever fail to load tiles? It doesn't matter if performance is affected

Hi

It will be faster to resolve this issue with your server administrator. That's where to look for the error.

The mime type should be as 'jpeg'.

Did you consider hosting outside of Cuba?

I remember all the examples you shared so far were loading unexpectedly slow and kinda like "internet of year 2000 like" in performance.

Also things like wrong mime type for simple images aren't a fail that you would expect from modern hosting solutions.

Of course I would like better hosting but it is very expensive for a normal salary in my country

Hi,

Tuur here from the Netherlands.

I had no loading errors on the tiles..
The loading seems a bit slow and the tiles quite large.. 4 per face or so.. (?)
Isn't it better to use the multires so you have faster loading but smaller tiles?

Works fine here, a bit slow though on the tiles loading.

Perhaps an aws hosting for the panos is a good option. The code you can host yourself then...

Thanks Tuur, maybe when I used <network maxdownloads="1" maxrequest="1"/> this affected the loading speed quite a bit. But it guaranteed that it would not fail (tile load). In the future I will have a better web server.

Hello, thank you for such valuable information

I had to do a hosting on a Spanish website of 3GB for 1€ per month plus the annual domain registration, in the end about 25€ per year. A similar service in my country costs almost the same but has problems as I had mentioned, so I will try soon with a vtour that I am finishing.
