I firstly have to confess I am not at all familiar with the detailed workings of krpano
I use a now-defunct software product Panotour Pro (v2.5.14) to create Partial Panoramas and tours using this software which itself uses krpano under license to produce the panoramic images.
I believe it uses krpano 1.18 embedded to achieve this as this as a current version when Panotour (Kolor) ceased trading
There is a resolution problem for partial panos (which used to addressed by Adobe Flashplayer) in that only full equirectangular panos (360x180) make use of full HTML% capabilities and to enable this to apply to partial panos of any size a Windows Registry "hack" has to be used to force Panotour to produce all results as 360x180 and then use automatic cropping to bring them back to their required size. This is still working OK even in Win 11 but has a serious effect on file size and performance.
My question is whether this restriction on the use of HTML5 only for full 360x180 panos is still in effect in krpano 1.21 or has been removed.
