I'm looking for available solutions to have videos with alpha channel (transparency), especially for layers.
Not having the “alphachannel” functionality of hotspots and not having webm support with alpha on Apple hardware (at least on iOs/safari), have you identified any other method?
I've read about h265 with alpha, but that can only be encoded on MacOs! And I haven't looked into the compatibility of this format

I didn't know about this technique for using hotspot attributes on a layer.
If I understand Javascript correctly, you create a hotspot in a layer?
I'm still not comfortable with Javascript, but you're saying that you can use the alphachannel attribute (TB or SBS) on a layer with this method?
I just need to add hs.alphachannel = SBS (for example) under the var hs?

That intentional - the pausedonstart setting is enabled there (see the xml).
