Hello,
I am interested in creating interactive 360° virtual tours using krpano software and have encountered an issue. How can I remove the tripod and its shadow visible at the bottom of a 360° panorama? I tried using Photoshop, but the modification is quite noticeable since the image appears flattened once imported into Photoshop.
Best regards,
Jordan from Bulmedia

lot of possibilities to achieve that :
With Photoshop, use Super Cubic plugin (https://www.superrune.com/tools/supercubic.php) to extract rectilinear view of ground or sky (or both) then edit, you can also extract those views with Krpano Tools but it's faster with super cubic (one software).
You can also remove tripod directly when blending the pictures in PTGui.
IMO the easiest and fastest way with good results is photoshop and fill content -
By the way: You can also just use the krpano sphere to cube droplet to solve your problem in the most easy way.

Affinity Photo
Layer - Live Projection - Equirectangular Projection.
Rotate the image down with the mouse the same you would do if it was a regular 360 image and then use the Inpainting Brush Tool.
Then it's Layer - Live Projection - Remove Projection to return the image back to normal and save the image.
If the tripod is stood on top of some complex floor tiles then the Inpainting Tool may not get it exact so you would then manually copy a nearby section of the tiles and use that to cover the tripod area. You can arrange the copy using the Mesh Warp or Perspective Tool to get it aligned correctly and then delete parts that are not required so that it blends in.There is of course other software to use but I find Affinity Photo affordable.

Photoshop v26.4.0 Beta using AI feature "Generative Fill", 'Delete and fill selection', or a clone stamp brush.
Use any of the above or something else completely different - usually need to fine tune the finished result depending on how pixel perfect you or your customer wants it to be.
Attached example was patched with Generative Fill

Thanks everybody !
