Hi all,
during our work updating the Panimator bundle, and much testing, we also came to a nice new little dirty tech example.
Now it is also possible to run, besides the 'camera/view' and hotspots, the 3d lights with timelines (lightlines).
Keep in mind we tried to push the limit a bit, the example could be heavy or too heavy on your device.
But please give it a go.
Here is the little new tech example:

Let me explain the examples.
- Snake: Five lights, 3 on mobile, that follow a 'lightline'. In this case the position, target and color are controlled by the 'lightlines'.
- Suzanna: When you click Suzanna 10 glb hotspots will follow a timeline. You can click on one of them again to reverse. This will also happen automatically after a while.
- Disco: Two glb hotspots are dancing on some hotspots. The disco cube is lighted by 6 3d light spots each of them following a 'lightline'. You can click a 'puppet' to stop the example.
- Drone: A glb hotspot flying around following a timeline carrying a 3d light hotspot that is runned by a lightline. The second screen shows what the drone 'sees'. Here also the dolly is active and also the same lightline as in the main screen. You can click the drone or the house model to exit this example.
Findings:
We started this example without a real plan. It was more a testing playground. We tried quite some different things to see what is nice and different to show some light panimations. Some haven't been nice or interesting enough to show, others have been just too heavy.
We are still on edge with these examples as you can see on the fps (lefttop).
I think we can simply say that many lights is just too heavy. With or without using Panimator functionality. For optimum performance 2-3 lights and castshadow as few as possible.
At first i had the disco cube as a dice... 21 + lights.. locally it worked, but online.. i have seen errors that have never seen before .. hahaha.
We also find that we can go on and on, creating fun examples and test behaviour, so we stopped here, for now.
The update of the Panimator bundle (V2) will be available soon and current owners will receive the new bundle and a new license key when all this is also finished.
Enjoy!
