Thanks Kristof,
This was what i tried to explain as well, sort of ![]()
There are different ways to Rome though, but this is the way indeed.
Great you narrowed it down in this video to refer to.
I'll implement it in the Toolbox as you asked for.

i have attempted to include the toolbox in this video at some point, but that i felt it would go beyond the scope of what I wanted to share. Maybe in another video!
No, you did really nice.. I'm sure it will help many people.
And i think it also is basically 'better' to position the splat correctly instead of changing the view tx ty tz..
Unfortunately, in this case, i'm on mac and feel handicapped that there is no mac version of Postshot and reality capture etc. I also didn't find a good alternative yet. Still on holidays.. and until now i used Luma.. and i tried Annx studio but that seems even worse
.. but needs further investigation. Luma did much better with the pics i took.

Hi Kristof,
Thank you so much for your tutorial, very good explanation. Hope to see more like this one.
Best,
Gregory
i'm trying to create splats from my cad rendered images.. but is awkwardly difficult....
can i ask what resolution your source images have?
My input images vary from 1600x1200 to 3840x2160.
But input resolution is not the most important factor. More important are good images (with good exposure, good sharpness) and good aligment.
If you share an image set, I can have a look at what could be the cause of why you are experiencing these difficulties... feel free to DM me
tx for that info.... exposure and sharpness is no problem when rendering, i need to try a better alignment.
btw did anyone ever contact Postshot support ? Never go any reply from them.
Hi Index, usually 1600px is enough to train, but for good alignment a higher resolution is needed.
If you want to contact Jascha from Postshot use Discord : https://www.jawset.com/postshot-chat
You could also use this tool for exporting images/alignment and point cloud :
thx everyone... sadly not using blender and coding all exporters myself...
here a small video of a directly created point cloud. (still low res here)
https://refraction.ch/PointCloud_250804.mp4
tx a lot for that discord contact ! i need inputs .-)
I'm thinking about a 3D tour that combines 360 images integrated with 3D Gaussian Splatting. Is it feasible?
In this concept, users could view the dollhouse in 3DGS and click on hotspots to view scenes through actual captured 360 images.
Can I combine them within the same XML?
Yes you can. Just try it.
