(Just a possible solution, maybe another better or a plugin for developer in the future :) was my first aproach )

Quick test (Download Panotour ktp file, attachment)

1 - Download panotout kpt files , open and build.

2 - Build the tour to a test folder.

3 - Go to the build folder, create a gs folder and copy your ply file here, rename for quicktest "yourfile.ply". Like this:

indextada/gs/yourfile.ply

5 Build the tour and refresh

To rename folders, location, and ply file names on includegaussiansplatscene.xml

you need to setup your settings of your gs file with splat tool 

includegaussiansplatscene.xml in the folder project with comments.

Hotpots transition´s 3D / Pano

1 add a Krpano Code Custom Call action in the hotspot (Check the panotour project in attachment).

2 The ID of the GS Scene is "gs" , to go back to a pano scene check id of the pano example "pano10",

Custom code to call:

3D Image GS Scene on start just change index.xml, look for startscene and replace with gs id scene

Install Panotour Windows 11 25h2 (Fresh install) + Krpano

When you format your computer and immediately install Panotour, the necessary libraries are not installed to run it. For example, if you install other softwares before Panotour, can automatically install the required C++ libraries.

Note: In my experience Panotour is very stable in windows 11 in big tours with hundreds of links, panos, dealing with a lot of plugins and content. Build using multiresolution sometimes i need to wait 40minutes to build all the tour, but never happens a crash or strange beahviour. My PC is a i9 12900k / 64 GB / 3080ti graphic card using 2 monitors.

In windows 10 and 11 , panotour don´t open after installing it :

1 install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010

Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update from Official Microsoft Download Center

Install vcredist_x64.exe and vcredist_x86.exe

2 Install panotour

3 Goto instalation folder C:\Program Files\Kolor\Panotour Pro 2.5

4 look for LIBEAY32.dll file and ssleay32.dll and delete

(Deleting this legacy dll files, Windows handles SSL, is the cleanest and safest fix.

5 Open panotour

(If missing mscv100*.dll files, check if
MSVRCR100.dll is @ c:/windows/system32 , if not go to step 1 Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 )

You can also update/replace this files LIBEAY32.dll file and ssleay32.dll, but not needed.

NOTE: Also, i use Malwarebytes sometimes moves krpano and ptp exe to quarantine, as a false positive. So white list this files in your software to move out from quarantine.

Floorplan Tooltips Fix/otimization

With Project in attachment for a better understant and update kolor files. This fix helps to custom the tooltips position and format. Its just a way .. feel free to custom with your taste.

1 Download the replacecssjskolorfiles.zip (in attachment)

2 go to C:\Program Files\Kolor\Panotour Pro 2.5\Resources\tools\KolorFloorPlan\

3 ! Backup all the files of this folder ! ( here, i zip all files in the folder to keep original files)

3 Replace kolorFloorPlan.css and KolorFloorPlan.min.js

4 Download panotour project for test (in attachment)

5 Build (to view the thumb copy thumb.jpg to build folder)

Note : Any update in the css file ou js, don´t forget to build the project , refresh page:)

You can create apng´s in software like after effects or other, export as png sequence.

Tip Delay Frames:

Setting for 60fps button > 1/60

Setting for 30fps button 1/30.

Playback (Loop infinite or 1 time)

Panotour Plugin Animator ( This plugin is great for custom animated hotpot´s, also load animated png´s, when all the setting are 0 and tranparent color´s..we see the hotspot as it is. )

2 Go To Location of KRPANO SOFTWARE FOLDER, in my case is > Krpano 1.23.2\viewer\examples\followmouse.xml

Pantour is a great visual tour to develop tour´s and mixing with krpano code is a powerfull tool. Is very welcome for all user´s share tips and trick´s to make panotour better, because it´s not a "static" software and he can not live without krpano. Now the most important challenge is keeping updated and compatible with the lastest version of Krpano, and with plugins.

When you build a project is allways updated. In Attachment also but for you to know what was updated. I use notepad ++ to open files, but there is also more outhere.

I´m currently testing ptp tour´s with jQuery 4.0.0 Release Candidate 1 and looks highly compatible. I haven´t found any issues yet. Just replace the url of jquery in your index.html to check if your tour runs well.

Hide / Show Kolor Video Progress Bar Plugin

In some tours can make sense some videos have Video progress bar and other´s not.

1 Add Call Actions on tour events Plugin

2 On Opening a video scene > Call Custom Code

copy paste followiong code for desired action show/ hide:

videoProgressBar_hide (or) videoProgressBar_show

3 Use this plugin in a specific Scene

add here the panoID of your vídeo(s) to call the action (ex: pano10)

Panotour Tooltips Custom Y/X Position

Panotour tooltip standard position is over the hotspot.

If you want to position above or under the spot you can adjust. This affects also buttons tooltips. The alternative plugin where you can adjust this settiongs for devices, colors vr compatibilidty etc is the Panotour Plugin Tooltip.

1 Serch for tooltipContent.tmpl Panotour instalation folder

2 In line 425 change

xoffset="0"
yoffset="0"

to your desired position and save the file. Build project to test.

This will update index_core.xml project file.

Panotour JS CALL to external page and button actions hide/remove example

This simple example show how to call a javascript function inside panotour to open/close a external side bar menu linked to pano id´s.

Also you can call hide/remove panotour button´s plugin in the html in attachment sidemenu.html and link panos.

3 - Move sidemenu.html to build folder (html location)

4 - On build preview just rename the link http://localhost:31415/sidemenu.html

More Safety while developing tours in Panotour

- Save various times the project while developing during the day, like Build1.kpt, build2.kpt, build 3.kpt etc. If something went wrong you will allways have a good version saved.

- Delete cache file if something went wrong with the project. Re-Open KPT

- Opening KPT file in notepad ++ or other similiar, you can edit or replace like for example a tour full of link´s to other url, or some text expression, etc. You don´t need to edit the hundreds of spots with new updated content. Off course this is just for some scenarios. Save and open again.

How to add multiple style map point´s in Panotour Maps Plugin and specific action´s (go to pano or other)

1 Create various map points with your desired style.

2 Before adding the geolocation to a pano, go to the Map Points tab and check the green “Click to make default style” option. Then add the geolocation. This will apply your desired map point style.
