On April 6, 2026, during its historic flyby of the far side of the Moon, the Artemis II mission captured thousands of exceptional images of the lunar surface.
From 625 images selected from over 12,000 photos taken from the Orion capsule by the Artemis II crew, I created a 3D reconstruction of the Moon using the Gaussian Splatting technique.
