It sounds like you're having some trouble running the Krpano tools on MacOS. I found this installation guide, have you followed all of the steps here?

It looks like after the disk image installation there is an additional step where a "FIX_INSTALL_MACOS" command needs to be run, and permission needs to be granted in the Privacy and Security settings menu.
Please give this a try if you haven't yet, hopefully it can help get everything working for you.
For the Apple Silicon question, I found this comment in a thread where Klaus mentioned that native Apple Silicon support is planned someday. I am not aware of any more recent comments where this may have changed.

Thanks for the info. The problem is it looks like the files are not generated to run the installer software
When you say the files do not appear to be generated, do you mean that you do not see the FIX INSTALL OSX.command file after you double click the .dmg file and drag out the folder?
Or do you mean some files that are generated by some other step?
