your thoughts on the semi-transparent map (and anything else)

Do you like or dislike how the map goes between semi-transparent and "normal".

Part of me likes it for the way that the pano view is somewhat shown (when partially transparent).... part of me doesn't like the back and forth caused when moving the mouse around.

So, consider this a user feedback request

I've been playing around with the interface structure and have made some changes.

Now that the map's alpha fade between the onover and onout has been set with a tween... I like it better.

Looks nice, i think the 'smaller' map is still quite big.

WIll you show us the code for the mouse over fade in /out ? It's nice

The fade in/out on the mouse over / out is set in the map plugin...

I agree. The only problem I have is that the google map images from this area (Houston, TX USA) have a fairly long copyright text area that gets in the way of the map spots. I'll play with some additional values to see what might work.

While I know that a vast majority of users will have 1024x768 screens and larger... I'm still trying to allow for a decent viewing at the 800x600 range. Not necessarily for users with that screen resolution... but to allow for the "tour" to be packaged in a widget container for social sharing.
