Hi,
now I must say I'm a bit sad that no one reads the krpano news (...just a joke *g*;-)).
See here:
krpano 1.16
https://krpano.com/news/#news1167
Bug demo:
https://krpano.com/ios/bugs/ios7-ipad-landscape/
That iOS 7 bug is known since the iOS 7 beta versions and was reported to Apple but unfortunately ignored there.
The new krpano versions (since 1.16.7) are already containing an automatic workaround for this iOS 7 bug.
That means just update the krpano viewer.
Best regards,
Klaus
Thanks Klaus,
But it's still a big disaster...
Update everything you did, and the worst also all you don't host yourself
Tuur
I agree!
There were already several reports in the Apple developers forums and also entries in Apple bug-tracker about this, but there was still no reaction or change from Apple so far...
I also have some tours crashing. But they never did until last night..
What could that be?
Tuur
Btw - just as note - the new iPad Chrome version from yesterday has again changed it's iOS 7 fullscreen behavior and acts now similar buggy as Safari, but there only in portrait mode...
It seems the browser developers aren't thinking about non-scrolling-fullpage-websites with their special fullscreen-modes...
That means were will be soon also an new krpano release which fixes that problem too.
Best regards,
Klaus

What could that be?
Do you mean since iOS 7?
I haven't seen an increase on browser crashes due iOS 7 yet, but that might depend on the device, the running apps and the tour itself...
Best regards,
Klaus
This one never crashed on me before.
Just click athumb or so..
No errors.

Hi,
I have currently no iPad 3 with me for testing (I will test with one in the evening), but with an iOS 7 iPad mini your tour is working fully stable without any crashing.
Btw - the poster.jpg image is a bit large (1.402px × 2.000px):
http://www.virtualtuur.com/robinutrecht/expo/skin/poster.jpg
It might be that the total memory need of all images together is too high for an iPad 3...
Best regards,
Klaus
Mmpff
It was not.
Tuur
I did some testing and i must say that on IOS 7 things are crashing kind a often.
I experince this with not only my own productions but also from others.
Goodreader crashes, safari crashes, watching in facebook environment crashes.
Not always, not all the time but far more often then before. Never seen crashes before actualy.
I was wondering if we can do something to prevent this.
It is not about big tours with lots of graphics etc...
I just looked the dior pano's from Sam Rohn on facebook..
Crashes... This is panopress..
I also like to know if other people experience this.
I use ipad3 ios7
Tuur
I'm rebuilding all my site (porting it to tablet viewing, not just updating krpano JS) and had just one crash.
Not sure if it was caused by new JS or my confused coding.
Sam Rohn example works perfectly.
BUT I'm on iPad2 - iOS 7
Toni
also when you tap the small balls at the bottom (the right one) of the panopress lightbox to visit the next pano?
Tuur
Yes Tuur, everything works on Sam's page.
BTW, I would like to know what kind of lightbox was used, but surely was a panopress plugin...
Toni
not for me on ipad three

Hi,
I still have 'stage size' problems, even after update to 1.16.7
It seemed that it was alright but now we see the same problem happening.
The problem is that it cut''s that 20pixels from top or bottom..
Is there something else we can do?
Tuur
Hi,
I still have 'stage size' problems, even after update to 1.16.7
Do you have an example?
Best regards,

Sorry i made a very stupid mistake here..
(as usual)
' Bin ja dann nur Holländer..
Sorry!
Tuur
another one..
i used this in a tour
<display usedesktopimages="true" hardwarelimit="1800" devices="iPad+Retina+iOS6" />
shall i change theios 6 to ios 7 or add another line like:
<display usedesktopimages="true" hardwarelimit="1800" devices="iPad+Retina+iOS6" />
<display usedesktopimages="true" hardwarelimit="1800" devices="iPad+Retina+iOS7" />
Tuur
Hi,
shall i change theios 6 to ios 7 or add another line like:
No, the setting iOS6 already means 'iOS 6 or higher' - so iOS 7 will be covered by this setting too.
Btw - hardwarelimit=1800 is a bit extreme, better try keeping the limit around ~1400 - or even better use multires.
Best regards,
Klaus
