    Is there any news on when objects will be supported by default on HTML5 without having to use this workaround?

    Maybe even make a standalone product Klaus, given the amount of work and especially given how more and more eCommerce is moving towards html 5 support for 360 rotations of objects. Now there are plenty of 360 180 objects out there too and within a year I know of one company (hardware) that will support automatic shooting of 360/360 objects.

    My studio will support 360s first, followed closely by 360/180s, hence I am back on this forum looking to see if KRPANO has added HTML5 support yet:) I remember it worked pretty well in the old flash versions.

    Thanks,

    This pano works fine for me on desktop computer, but it fails to load on iPhone (skin does not load) or iPad.

    http://www.parisbyphoto.com/monuments-buildings/adt/

    <include url="http://www.parisbyphoto.com/panosfolder/skin/defaultskin.xml" />
    <include url="http://www.parisbyphoto.com/panosfolder/sk…tpano_setup.xml" />

    If I change this to:

    <include url="../../panosfolder/skin/defaultskin.xml" />
    <include url="../../panosfolder/skin/flatpano_setup.xml" />

    It works but then it stops working for desktop....

    Any ideas? I could not see the same problem already on the forum.

    I also had to change the script to start the pano (I have on just for iPhone size, one for iPad size and one for desktop size) - for iPhone and iPad i had to use ../../xxx/xxx.xml instead of http://www.parisbyphoto/xxx/xxx.xml

    If all else fails, I could use separate xml files, but I am sure that is not required and it is something I am missing.

    Thanks,

    D

    Thanks, I tried that originally, but I want to have full control over the size and I want also a 1:1 ratio (I had issues controlling the depth when setting size to 100%. The code for ensuring this can be quite complex it seems. Also, it seems that it did not work in HTML5 mode when I did that, but only worked in flash mode. Though I did not follow up to see if it really was an issue or my configuration was an issue.

    In the end I went with the following, quite simple solution which seems to work great.

    <script src="http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/tiles/beer196.js"></script>
    <div id="pano" style="width:700px;height:700px;margin:0 auto;">
    <noscript><table style="width:275px;height:275px;"><tr style="valign:middle;"><td><div style="text-align:center;">ERROR:<br/><br/>Javascript not activated<br/><br/></div></td></tr></table></noscript>

    <script>
    if (screen.width >= 641) {
    embedpano({swf:"http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/tiles/beer196.swf", xml:"http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/tiles/coffee225.xml", target:"pano", html5:"fallback", height:"700", width:"700",passQueryParameters:true});
    }
    else
    {
    embedpano({swf:"http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/tiles/beer196.swf", xml:"http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/tiles/coffee225.xml", target:"pano", html5:"fallback", height:"275", width:"275",passQueryParameters:true});

    }

    </script>

    Can be seen working here: http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/Uncafe/cafeallonge/

    Thanks,

    D

    I believe there is an issue when using this on an iPad/iphone. I can zoom in fine, mostly, but when i zoom out and then zoom in again, the tiles go wrong and random stuff seems to be displayed instead of the closer in view I was expecting.

    If you try this using an iPad you will see:

    http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/McParis/mcparismaxi/

    Just zoom in and out, pan left right etc and you should see the issue I have described.

    Other than this, all seems to work well. Brilliant job:)

    Hi,

    I am trying to figure out how I can have a responsive size for my embedded pano based on screen size. Primarily this is because I want the pano to resize small to be viewable on an iPhone, google phone etc versus a desktop or iPad etc.

    an example is: http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/McParis/mcparismaxi/

    The code I use to embed is:

    <script src="http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/tiles/beer196.js"></script>

    <div id="pano" style="width:100%;height:100%;">
    <noscript><table style="width:100%;height:100%;"><tr style="valign:middle;"><td><div style="text-align:center;">ERROR:<br/><br/>Javascript not activated<br/><br/></div></td></tr></table></noscript>
    <script>
    embedpano({swf:"http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/tiles/beer196.swf", xml:"http://gallery.parismetrotrash.com/tiles/mcparismaxi.xml", target:"pano", html5:"fallback", height:"700", width:"700",passQueryParameters:true});
    </script>
    </div>

    I don't want to resize based on html vs flash as some screens that only support HTML5 will show a lot more than the iPhone for example.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Darren

    It would be really good to have a view on what you plan to do with regards to flat pano support in HTML5.

    For now, as there is notvisibility on support for flat panos in HTML5, apart form that you don ot support it, I had to look for another solution. I found a script that can detect if flash is supported or not. If it is, it uses the krpano viewer, which is my preferred option, as I want it to run swfaddress. If no flash, then it uses zoomify, which is actually a pretty good basic viewer, though it does lack what I use in KRPANO plus it means I also have to do a lot of extra work to create an extra pano just for HTML5. That is a problem because I am working on a project where I will have over 300 panos, configured as per the above.

    When you finally support flat panos in HTML5, to switch back will take some work, so it would be good to have a view on when HTML5 will be supported for flat panos, as then I could make a decision to go with the zoomify workaround or wait for KRPANO. I have a deadline of Jan to complete the project, with 90% of the photography complete and the website templates almost finished, it is time to make a decision on what to do regarding using the zoomify viewer or wait for krpano flat pano support.

    Can you please give me an idea, even is just to say not in the next 6 months, if you will support flat panos in KRPANO?

    The example of what I have working can be found: http://www.parismetrotrash.com/

    Ignore that I have used 2 different panos, it is a holding page to describe the project only.

    THnx,

    D

    According to the release notes, only flat surfaces can be transformed into 3d space and that HMTL5 only supports cubicle panoramic images:

    Viewer support - Cubical only
    The krpano HTML5 Viewer itself currently only supports cubical panoramic images.
    Why? ⇒ With the HTML5 CSS 3D transforms it is only possible to transform flat html surfaces in 3D space. And this only allows to the usage of panoramic formats with flat surfaces like the six flat sides of a cubical pano.It also mentions that spherical, cylindrical and cubical images can be converted to cubes, though on if they have hfov=360

    Tools support - Spherical, Cylindrical and Cubical
    To be able to use also other formats like spherical or cylindrical, the krpano Tools and Droplets can be used. They can convert such images (only images with hfov=360) automatically to cubical images and also set automatically viewing-range-limitations to avoid seeing the unused parts of the converted cubical images.

    What I would really love to know is when single flat images will be supported, or if there is a way to already convert them now? They are not Spherical, Cylindrical or Cubical, so I would imagine they should work.

    Thanks,

    I know there is panotag, which works with facebook. However, I am looking for a general tagging plugin, not related to facebook.

    I want the user to be able to select an area and tag it. After which, it will be available for anyone to see. However, I must also be able to delete the tag and it must be possible for people to switch off tags. THis is not people tagging.

    Hi,

    Anyone know why when I use swf address, the page jumps like when it is loading the coordinates using swfaddress ? If you follow the link below you will see what i mean. You need to scroll down a little to notice it jump back to the top though.

    I have used iframe and without, it always happens (also when I use it with the e-card plugin).

    Thanks in advance for any advice.

    With the great sunshine we are having at the moment, I decided to add a couple more gigapixel photos to the site. Porte Saint-Martin and a wonky Beaubourg. Both stitched with autopano giga this time. I will re-do Beaubourg later in the summer, a bit straighter and higher resolution.

    Now things are warming up nicely, I hope to add a lot more to the site. Fingers crossed not much rain this year!
