Ok - the search facility is working on my mobile with my own tour now I have the plugin and set "native_on_mobile" equal to "False"

I am referring to you own example (on this page - https://krpano.com/plugins/userplugins/advancedcombobox/) - I was trying out your own example on my iPhone. Try it yourself...
-
I'm only going by the provided example, but it seems that you cannot type any search text on an iPhone (in Safari or Chrome) - you are just presented with a list you have to scroll through... So it's not searchable in the true meaning of the word on iPhones (I can't speak for other mobile devices)... This is not very helpful - particularly with long lists...

Ahh Ha! Great. I wonder how many others don't get this...? "Subscribe to" is the unofficial lingo most people recognise! Thanks very much!
-
I find it incredible that we can't subscribe to threads! Please correct me if I am wrong... How are we to know when someone has made a reply to a thread we are interested in?! Yes we can check up every day - but this is old-hat and a pain in the ass!
Add to favourites doesn't cut it!
-
Please provide an example/demo with a fully interactive HTML page in the popup window - e.g. a wikipedia page - that occupies, say, 80% of the screen (width and height) - preferably with two or more different links from the VT.

I think we are not talking about the same thing? I know krpano supports polygonal hotspots, but if I'm not mistaken, you said I could create/edit them for virtual tours (multi-sphere panos) with editor.swf (actually vtoureditor.swf?). When you add a hotspot with vtoureditor.swf it adds an arrow - there is no way I can see to add a polygonal hotspot… The example you provided with text is a single sphere pano - not a virtual tour. If I am wrong please explain how to do it?
-
Yes - I looked at that, however, it doesn't do polygonal hotspots = which is what I need - and need to render with HTML5. The next release of panotour pro will include krpano 1.18 - so that seems to be the only viable solution...
-
Am I missing something - I cannot seem to add a polygonal hotspot with krpano!
Tuur - you implied it was easy: how? Have you got any examples? I checked your website and couldn't find any - very nice VTs though...
-
Awesome - I didn't know this existed! Thanks so000 much!
-
Thanks Tuur, I've done that.
I think creating/editing a big tour (40 plus connected spheres) with krpano alone is quite a lot of work, difficult to visualise and get the angles of entry and zoom right...?
-
Klaus, sorry if it is not clear, but I know polygon hotspots are available for virtual tours - the problem is that with Panotour Pro V2.3.0 beta 1 they are not available for HTML5. The tour builder explicitly states this: the builder menu under "HTML5 player incompatibilities" states "Polygonal spots cannot be displayed with the HTML5 player". Also I have tried it and it DOES NOT WORK for iPad/iPhone (two HTML5 devices) devices… Unless I'm doing something wrong or using the wrong version if the software…?
-
This is so near and yet so infuriatingly far! I only ever do tours! It's weird because a tour is just a series of interconnected single spherical panoramas… I don't understand why this vital functionality isn't available for tours…
-
Hi Klaus, the tour @ https://krpano.com/examples/118/e…textstyles.html is exactly what I am looking for (on a photographic tour)!
So why does it not work with my tour and why does it say in the builder menu under "HTML5 player incompatibilities" "Polygonal spots cannot be displayed with the HTML5 player"? I am using the latest Panotour Pro V2.3.0 beta 1...

Despite this
QuoteChanges from 1.17.6 to 1.18
New: Polygonal hotspot support.the polygonal hotspots disappear when viewed on an iPad/iPhone (they work on normal web browsers)...
-
Polygonal hotspots in HTML5 are absolutely vital to a big project I have had on hold for over a year now - waiting for this to come along. Permanently flashing pin-point hotspots are not appropriate for all scenarios. Supporting iPad, iPhones, etc. is not an option for me - it's an absolute must. I don't know what the delay is in supporting this in krpano but I am very grateful to DJIO for pointing out an alternative - which I will explore with much anticipation...

I would really like to be able to disable all error messages also. It's just a bad user experience. Ideally it should be a totally controlled and switchable user interface.

Kyle. It is not a dumb question: I had no idea I had to use a plugin for this! The documentation I could find leaves a lot, shall we say, to the imagination...
Klaus - maybe worthwhile getting a technical author to write an introduction or something similar. There is a great deal that can be done with this great software and interface - that I am sure the vast majority of people are not using because of the lack of documentation and simple concise examples...
Kyle, thanks very much. I can make a start now. Watch this space...
