I guess I should have posted this here....
Sorry if this is here somewhere on the forum but cant seem to find the answer or the help pages. Im going crazy tying to find the answer for many days.
This is exactly what Im after for a but for a VTour -- not an Object/Movie pano.
I want to put info buttons on various objects around a room and have this nice clean pop up with a few line of text with a URl that will open up in a separate window (Ill use the _blank code on the URL).
https://krpano.com/objects/pilatuspc6/
Also...Is the page with the manually drawn hot spots still here? It had some cars in a yard and I think they changed color. Would this be the new example with the swimming pool?
thanks ![]()

Looking at that now.
Ive worked on both Mac and PC - they both have good and bad. Id love a screamin macbook to do 3d on the road with Maya - but thats a ways off yet.

So can I ask another stupid question....the path in the .bat file? Thats the dropplet copy? Not sure what a .bat file is. ![]()
BTW...I complained to the moderator what a great guy you are and an asset to the forum. ![]()
Hi Klaus,
Thank you for your valuable time. How do you get any work done with us newbie’s crying all the time?
I understand about the droplets - albeit of a rudimentary nature as well as your examples. The Tools read me was a big help which I overlooked until yesterday. (the male species don’t read directions)
I have Dreamweaver so I can edit the config files from there.
I see -- so I can make copys of the droplets and its config files and modify those...but leave them in the tools folder of course. Correct?
Things are starting to make sense. But what do I do with the config files in the tools folder? I see those are the basic parameters that you can make changes to.
I dont want to change originals correct? So I copy and paste into XML and change from there?
thanks
I can’t offer any help other than verbal support -- just keep looking at the code.
It starts to make sense it just takes time. This software is the greatest thing since slice bread. Lots of great help here so just hang in there.
edit --
So itll display full screen in the browser unless you enter the desired height correct?
And this is the script page so do I designate this size when i make the tour or in the page within Dreamweaver?
Thanks Jarred,
I was looking at this but wasn't sure if it was what i was after. Now Ill spend the day trying to figure it out. :)
Im simply awful at this coding stuff.
So I can just copy and paste this code and set accordingly?
var viewer = createkrpanoSWFviewer(swffile, id, width, height, bgcolor
Beautiful and stunning! Well done. ![]()
I need to render out a one size fits all at 1280x640 360 and fit that into the page (Dreamweaver 2004) so it displays at the same size no matter what size monitor the viewer is using. Can this be done? Its fine for a black area around the pano tour.
I have a client who has about 4 other chef's in the kitchen. They all need (want) to be part of the approval process. (arrrgggg)
Among other things, they don’t yet understand the difference between the test renders at lower sample and quality settings I’m doing vs. the finished hi rez 360 they will have - around 8000 wide. They all have different size monitors and two are viewing from the road via iPads and laptops.
The issue is my 360's are all 3D scenes. I render the scene with a spherical camera, color correct; composite, add elements rendered separately from other scenes, etc and then use the vtour dropplet. So to just to the draft version for approval is time consuming - half a day at least for one. I have several to do.
I settled on the 1280x640 size because they render in a reasonable time - and I hope is a good size for the iPad and laptop viewers.
A 6000 wide with all the quality settings cranked up will take about 12 hrs to render, longer with the 8000 wide. Itll take forever to keep giving them hi rez versions.
thanks!
Klaus,
Thanks for your help and thanks to Jarred as well.
Ive solved these issues and am moving foward. Rather, Jarred solved them for me via PM ![]()
This software is the greatest thing since sliced bread! Im very excited. But fear not Klaus, for I will post some more frantic pleas for help ASAP. ![]()
As for my question about the distortion, it was because i wasnt doing it correctly.
Still the same two problems to deal with first.
I uploaded the lic file to my server and I still have the water mark when I view local, and Fatal Lic Error when I try to view the page.
Are there any other screen grabs I could to to help see what Ive got going here? Ive gone into the permissions tab on my host and all are set properly. Except of course not allow to be "executable". This is really frustrating. Im following instructions and Im still having the issues. I appreciate all the help
gents.
I see so you do need to upload it to your host server. (man I need a Mac really BAD!!)
And yes Jarredja, I took my rendered image and I followed the little VTOUR thing about the dropplets and used the "MAKE VTOUR (NORMAL)" droplet.
Uisng Windows XP -- when I unzipped everything I put the three folders; license, Tools and Viewer in my C/My Docs/Pano folder.
So what do you guys think about the rez on my test run..the finals need to be much larger dont they? And Im thinking that it stretched it to fit into my monitor - it looked very distored...like I was looking through a very wide angle lens.

Hello friends,
I’ve searched the forum for the answers but what I’ve found I don’t understand. I hope this won’t be too painful for the vets here.
I just purchased the license and I’m trying to get started and running into a few issues. I’m rendering 3D interiors in 3D Max 2009 with the panoramic utility and my first test was rendered with a fisheye at 3072x1536. (Too small for a decent final?)
I’m using Dreamweaver 2004 and my website is hosted by GoDaddy. First, I’ve followed the instructions to the letter from the license folder text doc:
Copy the krpano.license into the same folder as the krpano.swf.
I’ve managed to follow the rudimentary procedure and did a drag and drop. I still have the watermark on my internal sample – and when I try to publish to my website (hosted by GoDaddy) I get that black screen -- “FATAL: LICENCE ERROR”.
When I view the HTML doc the room is completely distorted and stretched out. (Because it’s being forced into my screen at 1680 x 1050 monitor resolution?)
I’m reading the page “Problems on IIS Servers / MIME Type” but I’m just lost. Is this something I do on GODaddy’s end and my hosting account or my computer?
Despite the trouble getting going I’m very excited into learning the software. What an amazing application! But that’s my shortcomings in coding. Im a graphic designer trying to learn how to fly a plane with a blindfold.
Here's a screen shot of my folders of the tools and viewer -- thanks for any help in advance.
I hope I’m in the right forum room for this, Are there any freelancers out there?
I’m financially unable to buy as of yet, but I’m reading and learning all I can before I can buy. Is there anyone out there that can create one panoramic scene for me with a few hot spots?
This is for a business venture. The scene is a fun project and I will supply the panoramic images. All I need is for someone to drop them in and create a finished 360 scene with hotspots that need to be external URL's.
Send me a PM and Ill reply with a complete outline.
Thanks

Im a new member so Im getting caught up -- just let me ask -- can this entry page be any more amazing??!! Wonderful and creative. Just fantastic!!!
very interesting -- great idea -- thanks for sharing
Thanks very much!
I did notice that the unlimited wasn’t much more money and thought right away that was a better option. You’ve confirmed my thinking about the tools as well --- I want to make these 360's interactive and you can’t do this without (correct?)
Most importantly, will I be able to render out 3d images and turn them into panoramic? I can’t see why not -- after all they are still images. But it’s the lens that makes the whole thing work no?
Thank you.
