So I've looked through all of the example files, and I can't find one that demonstrates how to create a stereo image with a sphere. Only cube examples exist.
I tried to create one myself, using this image , and the following code:
<scene name="vrtest" title="VR Test" onstart="set(display.stereo, true)">
<include url="%SWFPATH%/plugins/webvr.xml" />
<plugin name="WebVR"
devices="html5"
keep="true"
url="%SWFPATH%/plugins/webvr.js"
/>
<image>
<sphere url="sample2.jpg" stereo="true" stereoformat="SBS" />
</image>
</scene>
Alles anzeigen
The images combine, but it really doesn't work:
1) In the browser, I can only move the scene to the left and right (horizontally).
2) The apparently closer visual elements in the image don't 'pop' out in pseudo 3D, as they should. The image looks like flat 360.
3) At the bottom and top of the view in Google Cardboard are elliptical black spaces. Displayed on a phone, it looks like the combined image gets mapped around a cylinder, not a sphere.
I'm not sure what's wrong. Maybe someone could provide an example of how to do this properly? Or maybe point out an obvious mistake that I'm making?
