Config file for side by side demo

  • Hello

on the website there is a nice demo showing a side by side view of a
    stereoscopic panorama

    https://krpano.com/releases/1.20.…ur-stereoscopic

I prefer this over webvr because it allows panning (left/right/up/down) of
the view, and pinch to zoom. This is handy when viewing the panorama
on a phone with open vr goggles like these:

Is there a config file for krpanotools to produce a tour with this kind of
setup? It doesn't seem to be listed in the gui. Or can alternatively, webvr
be configured to do panning and zooming using the touch screen?

    kind regards,

    joss

  • Thnx ! Sorry for the delayed reply, getting back into it now. This was what I was looking for. I added stereo="true" to the <display> tag in vtourskin.xml to test it. First I thought I was missing something, as on chrome it didn't have an effect. But it turned out it does work on firefox. Not sure if this is a bug? In chrome I just see one single image, no side by side.

I'm running chrome Version 97.0.4692.99 (Official Build) (64-bit) on ubuntu 18.04.

I see the same difference between firefox and chrome on my android phone....

    thnx

  • Hi,

the stereo rendering isn't browser specific and there are no known bugs.

That means: please post a link to your not working example.

Beside of that the only explanation that I could image would be that your Chrome browser doesn't support WebGL on your GPU (or that WebGL is disabled). Because stereo rendering is only possible when WebGL is available. But it would be strange that this would be on your Desktop system and your Android phone...

    Best regards,
    Klaus
