Why some of the panos are displayed blurry when they are viewed by VR goggles (Oculus Quest 2)?

    I tried to import flat images (not 360) as multires panos and it works well on desktop browser and on mobile but when I'm entering them via VR goggles (Oculus Quest 2) some of them looked like the images were compressed - they are very pixalated and blurry. The strange thing is that when I click the pano with flat image via thumbnail menu and then enter VR mode it works fine - images are perfectly clear and not pixalated at all.

    How to solve this problem? I assume there has to be an attribute setting for VR mode images resolution, however I didn't have this problem with regular 360 photos before.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated! *g*

  • I think for a start it would be nice to see on the recording what exactly and where you have quality problems and under what circumstances, what version of the firmware вопрос quest2?

    Here are the screenshots from my desktop browser - the first one is in normal (desktop) mode, the second one is in VR mode (emulated in browser).

    The quality is significantly worse on the second one. As I mentioned above, the strange thing is that sometimes images are loaded normally and they are not blurry. I suppose that somewhere underneath krpano there is an algorithm that determines order in which panos are loaded, and sometimes when a user clicks too quickly (i.e., goes to a pano) or there's bad internet connection, the image they get is unreadable. So, I was thinking that maybe there's a setting for image quality or loading priority.

    krpano will use the images as they are.

    Do you have a link to your example?

    Btw - images in VR are never perfectly displayed on the screen pixel grid due to the normal distortions. Therefore, using a VR emulation may not be the best method to judge the display...
