Question about the Workflow for adding accurate measurement to the tour with the usage of LiDAR/laser scanner

I have no hands-on experience, but I if I would do such a project, my choice would be Reality Capture.

This video gives a good understanding of the workflow withing that software:

Reality capture will calculate all the camera positions for you.

To have more accurate results, especialy for measuring, you can also use "Ground Control Points" (GCP). These are special markers that you know the position of (and their relative distance). You can then use the GCP inside Reality Capture to better align all camera positions and have more accurate measurements.

I may have misread your post a bit. The process described in the video is photogrammetry and uses "normal" pictures + Lidar to reconstruct the environment in 3D.

I now see you want to capture panorama's and then enhance them with the Lidar scans... Need to think about that :)

When you have the pano(s) and the obj, it is quite straight forward to make your own mapping tool for this.. i did... to match the model to the pano..to get the right coords..

It is a manual/visual tool though.

I did some research and even though it may seem obvious, this is a very technical subject. Was not expecting that!

Here is some relevant information I found on the subject. Seems "Lidar Fusion" is the technical term. I hope you find a good flow for your project(s).

This requirement is relatively simple. You can do this:
Use the laser scanned data, pour it into blender for simplified processing, and then use the PCA2.0.1 plug-in to import the panorama. Adjust the position and rotate the panorama so that it matches the direction of the model; then create a 3D tour.
But there is a difficulty in this. The precise measurement in krpano or matterport is a measurement model. The loading of the network requires that the model be simplified as much as possible. In this way, some customers think that the model behind the measurement point may not match the panorama. I don't know if you can understand what I mean.
Therefore, errors exist and may be relatively large;
