It is either/or. You can use the normal version, or the minified version. The minified version is just smaller, that's all (ie: less to download).
oke !
Thanx!!
but why the big one then?
Tuur
The big one is easier on the eyes. It is the "source" from which the small one is derived. The small one is basically illegible, and it is near impossible to make changes/improvements to the small one.
Hi,
on Android, no panorama is loading - only a black screen.
Can i use this plugin on android ?
I have not tested it on Android; I have no Android devices. At the very least your Android device would need a gyroscope. And even if it had, I don't know if Android supports the motion events that the script is looking for yet.
Note that the script is continually undergoing improvements at github. Just this morning I have fixed a javascript issue with Chrome (the desktop version). Perhaps this also fixes an issue on Android?
I got the following question through email, and since more people may have these questions/remarks I'll answer them here:
ZitatJust wondering how the gyro toggle works. I see no button!
The script does not create a button by default; you have to create a button yourself. You add a plugin node to the xml file, like for any other button in a toolbar. Then you use the following code in the onclick attribute:
ZitatsetAdaptiveV is working although I prefer the false setting so I can show a pano with phone on a table...
That is why setAdaptiveV is turned off by default. Personally I like it better with setAdaptiveV turned on.
Thanx Aldo, for this explenation.
I have an example with gyro button, in the menu, here.

XML you can find here:

I cant figure it out how to make a plugin to switch the gyro function on/off here is the code i've tried so far:
<plugin name="gyrotoggleoff" url="data/gyrooff.png" scale="1.5" keep="true" enabled="true" align="lefttop" x="5" y="5" visible="false"
onclick="
set.(plugin[gyrotoggleoff].visible,false);
set.(plugin[gyrotoggleon].visible,true);
set.(plugin[gyrotoggleoff].enabled,false);
set.(plugin[gyrotoggleon].enabled,true);
gyro.disable();
" />
<plugin name="gyrotoggleon" url="data/gyroon.png" scale="1.5" keep="true" enabled="false" align="lefttop" x="5" y="5" visible="false"
onclick="
set.(plugin[gyrotoggleon].visible,false);
set.(plugin[gyrotoggleoff].visible,true);
set.(plugin[gyrotoggleon].enabled,false);
set.(plugin[gyrotoggleoff].enabled,true);
gyro.enable();
" />
<action name="initgyro">
copy(plugin[gyrotoggleoff].visible, gyro.deviceAvailable);
gyro.setAdaptiveV(true);
</action>
Alles anzeigen
can anyone help me with that? Thank.
---problem solved----
A new version of the script is available on github, with the following changes:
Added easing (ie: make it less twitchy)
Added support for setting options in xml via <gyro /> node
Removed javascript object access
(Possibly) fixed a (possible) iPad 2 issue looking a the zenith with the iPad2 in upsidedown-portrait orientation
https://github.com/fieldOfView/krpano_gyro
Accessing the plugin from javascript directly is no longer supported, but you can now set the options for the gyro plugin in krpano xml:
Setting the options through scripting (ie: in an action) is ofcourse also still possible:
As is setting the options from javascript, using the krpano.set() method (provided that 'krpano' is a krpano object returned by the embed script):
If someone with an iPad 2 could check the following for me, that would be very helpful:
http://fieldofview.com/45
With the ipad in upside-down portrait orientation (ie: with the home button above the screen), please look down at the nadir and up at the zenith. Just before you reach the zenith or the nadir, or both, the scene may suddenly pan 180 degrees. Let me know if it does...
Great news for the gyro plugin!
A new release candidate of krpanoJS is now out and it has a real plugin interface and with Klaus' help the gyro plugin has been rewritten as a plugin. But that's not even the coolest bit; the new gyro plugin is from now on distributed with the krpano package:
https://krpano.com/download/beta/#2011-04-04
Instead of having to include and optionally configure the viewer in html, you now include the gyro plugin in xml, like you do with swf plugins.
Because the gyro plugin is now a real plugin, I have folded it into the fovplugins package. This means the source is now available from here:
http://fieldofview.github.com/krpano_fovplugins/gyro/plugin.html
https://github.com/fieldOfView/kr…ree/master/gyro
I will keep updating the gyro plugin as needed on github, so you can always get the latest version from there. But if you just want to use the current version of the plugin, you no longer have to download any external packages.
If you downloaded the gyro plugin from github in the last week or so, you may have a faulty copy. I have just uploaded a fixed copy (of both the source and "compacted" version). The version that came with the krpano release candidate was not affected.
You (and I) should probably be using alturl="gyro.js" instead of url="gyro.js", and/or specify devices="html5". I'll update the documentation and example to reflect this.
I changed it now and still get the same result. I'm testing on Safari for Mac and iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4.
By the way I have an idea: The ability to control actions via the iPhone's gyroscope would be a great thing.
Hi,
i have this working like a charme..
ZitatAlles anzeigen
<plugin name="gyro"
url="gyro.js"
keep="true"
enabled="true"
camroll="false"
friction="0.5"
velastic="0"

Make shure you don't have some gyro js stuff in the index as script.. or the old one..
i have an tour_mobile.xml that is be choosen by the index when iphone ... etc..
just change the path to the js and try it..
When it not works... try to put the js in the same map as the xml...and just put as above..
Hope it helps

Hope it helps
Unfortunately not. I use the gyro.js from the krpano site so it should be the newest version. I tried some combinations with putting it in different folders and the different xmls of the tour but none of it worked. It didn't work in a single panorama as well. I just don't get it.
http://www.virtualtuur.com/krpano/test_text_var/2
check on iphone..
http://www.virtualtuur.com/krpano/test_te…tour_mobile.xml
get gyro.js
http://www.virtualtuur.com/krpano/test_text_var/2/gyro.js
i also have no problems when i put it in the skin map..
- are you full on the latest 1.0.8.14 release candidate?
- also all plugins etc? and tour.js ?
- check for NO old gyroscope stuff in index
Tuur
Dr. Schneckem, do you have a link so we can see what is going on?
