Hi mindlessboss,
Did you received my mail about your plugin ?
Thanks to tell me. In case you don't, i send it to you again.
Thanks.
Steph.
Hi there mindless one,
Nice Plugin. I've been using it 1 whole day now. Pretty easy to modify basic parameters and layout. Good eyeCandy. Like the "already visited" check also. Had partial success in getting a combox (selected item) to follow along with the correct pano, but gave up for now due to time constraints.
I am having a bit of trouble though with the scroll speed. I've changed it to .2 but it doesn't seem to be slowing down at all. In fact, a single click of the "right" arrow, and whoosh, the scroller goes from image 1-3 to 111-113. What am I missing? It does control the use of Scrolling Arrow buttons correct? Does it effect mouse hover with L/R motion as well? Neither seems to be slowing at all and it scrolls too fast way too fast. The only thing that seems to work well is turning off mouse over, and using only the mouse wheel.
I've tried it with fewer images, but that didn't really matter.
<thumbnails name="thumbs1"
edge="bottom" align="bottom"
thumb_width="300"
thumb_height="150"
thumb_margin="12"
frame_width="335"
frame_height="175"
skin_url="%CURRENTXML%/thumbsxml/skin2/"
scroll_speed=".2"

Also, I was under the impression from the "sales" page and the instructions that it would automatically generate thumbnails. It doesn't seem to be capable of doing that, or I'm doing something wrong. I thought that, after having set up everything, the code might automatically determine the name and # of scenes, then create the XML necessary for the thumbs. If it generated actual Thumb Size images, that would have been a bonus, but I can deal with that fairly easily in Photoshop. What was rather tasking was that I had over 100 images in the tour. It didn't even generate XML. I had to type in all the <thumb name="".......... /> code for each one... that took some time. Probably just my misundstanding, but would have been nice if it actually generated the XML for the thumbs. Please let me know if I screwed up somewhere here too.
Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but it seems to be the ONLY discussion thread created for this plugin.
Tony
Scale=2 for the slowest speed. This got me too.
Hello!
About scroll speed..
0 - faster
3 - slower
For auto thumb add you can use this action: (NOTE! - use this action before build thumbs)
add thumburl attribute to scene tag (example <scene name="bla" thumburl="bla.jpg">)
<action name="autothumbsadd">
if(cursceneindex === null, set(cursceneindex,0); );
txtadd(thumbnails[thumbs1].thumb[get(cursceneindex)].name,tn,get(cursceneindex));
set(thumbnails[thumbs1].thumb[get(cursceneindex)].url,get(scene[get(cursceneindex)].thumburl));
set(scenename, get(scene[get(cursceneindex)].name) );
txtadd(thumbnails[thumbs1].thumb[get(cursceneindex)].onclick,'gotoscene(',get(scenename),');');
set(scenetitle, get(scene[get(cursceneindex)].title) );
txtadd(thumbnails[thumbs1].thumb[get(cursceneindex)].onhover,'showtext(',get(scenetitle),');');
add(cursceneindex,1);
if(cursceneindex LT scene.count, autothumbsadd(); );
</action>
Hope this help!

Ouch, I didn't think of that.

Will give it a go. Thanks!
double post
this does not seem to work on the iphone either. here is a link to your example exactly the way it is downloaded and the thumbs do not even show up with an iphone.

I think your example does not work on the iphone because you have not specified an xml file to use. I wonder if you named the xml file krpano.xml would it work?

Hello!
I have no iPhone (so sad) but sachagriffin says "all works fine"
I tested code on safari (with iPhone user agent) and all works
Andrey
I simply meant if you read the documentation or example, it works.
Hm, if it's not work on iPhone, that is too sad...
May be i'm doing something wrong.
But i dont know how to test it on iPhone.

yes that is sad. escpecially when it is advertised to work and has not been tested. the iphone scrolling was the only thing i bought it for and it does not work. the newest version of krpano has the ability to emulate a true iphone i think. you should look into that and fix this plugin or change your plugin page to state that it still only works on desktops.
something like this is in the latest download.. simulator.html
example:

The scrolling thumbs from Mindlessboss works just fine on an iPhone. I have not tried the auto build code yet but it looks promising, I just haven't taken the time to implement it.
Jarred
I can shenanigans on you.
With 1150 posts, and a plain as day error of "no xml file specified". You know exactly why it doesn't work.
You must use an xml file for html5 to work.
Your example isn't even the same source as the one that came with the plugin, it's been modified to remove the line containing the xml file.
Mindbosses xml thumbs work period despite your crafted example to show otherwise.

i don't think VN 'crafted' that to show that..
I just think he messes up: too much drinks in the krpano bar and cafe
Tuur
Hello!
Many thanks for support.
Jarredja - thanks for screenshot (This gives hope that all works fine)
Tuur - i'll will try your iPhone test page, good job!!
sachagriffin - i think Tuur is right
VN2011- I hope it was just a minor mistake
Andrey
How soon for swipe/drag support for flash and html5!!?? ;)
Well ... It's just in the download of 1.0.8.14releasecandidate
