I would strongly advice to get one of those Dive headsets instead of cardboard.

Have you seen this, Klaus?
https://www.leapmotion.com/product/vr -> https://developer.leapmotion.com/gallery/tags/vr
Now this would be absolutely killer. Do you think krpano could/will support this?
Has anybody had any success trying to build a VR viewer for 360 video with the latest developments for HTML5 video in krpano 1.18?
I didn't know whether Klaus' 'workaround' for iphone meant that it will be impossible to create a second viewer for viewing 360 video with Cardboard/Oculus Rift/Dive etc.

Have a nice day.
Hi,
the krpano Stereoscopic 3D examples have been updated:
https://krpano.com/stereo3d/#top
Best regards,
Klaus
Btw - please note - this is still only a quick 'temporary' solution for VR - there will be be later a krpano version with direct stereoscopic support where only one viewer will be required and where it will be possible to switch anytime between normal and VR mode.
That quick temporary solution is already impressive, but GREAT to hear that extra support !!
Do you think it's going to be possible to use it with video360 ?
Do you think it's going to be possible to use it with video360 ?
The current/temporary solution - No, because syncing two video streams will not work.
The final solution - Yes, by using one (stereoscopic) video stream.
excelent !!
Hi,
i tried some but i have not a single clue how to install the new npvr plugin on my mac.
Tried some with 'Wine'... no clue at all.
Maybe someone can write a short and clear step by step TuT to do this?

i tried some but i have not a single clue how to install the new npvr plugin on my mac.
Sorry, I just saw the new NPVR plugin is only available for Windows:
I don't know if there is a new/updated NPVR plugin for Mac available anywhere...
Ah ok.
I missed that.
Well, the old one still works on my dk1.
Tuur
Thanx a lot Klaus !
I just have a problem, I have the DK2 and use it with firefox, local it works perfect but when I try it online the rift_ipd is set to 63.5 like I was using a DK1 so I guess detection is not working ?
Why would it work local and not online ?
Thanx !
Oh and yes, I love the hotspot feature but I would like to be able to set the view.hlookat flag for each hotspot.
I tried this but it doesn't work :
<hotspot name="spot1" style="hotspotstyle" ath="0" atv="5" linkedscene="defense-2" orientation="180"/>
<style name="hotspotstyle" url="hotspot.png" scale="0.5" edge="top"
onloaded="if(side == right, set(ox,-2), set(ox,+2) );"
onclick="js_sync_call(do_hotspot_onclick, get(name), get(linkedscene), get(orientation));"
/>
<action name="js_sync_call">
js( sync_call(%1(%2,%3,%4)) );
</action>
<action name="do_hotspot_onclick">
tween(hotspot[%1].alpha, 0.0, 0.2, default, trace(do_hotspot_onclick - %1/%2/%3); loadscene(%2, view.hlookat=%3, MERGE, BLEND(0.5)); );
</action>

Ok, solved, just forgot :
If you want to try your Google CardBoard or any HMD go and try those two virtual tours (thanx Klaus, great release !)
http://www.360images.fr/cardboard/louvre.html
http://www.360images.fr/cardboard/defense.html
And Oculus Rift version :
Hi everybody !
My Oculus DK2 works perfect, except if I try to read "oculus converted" panoramas that I have on this page : http://static.zooomez.fr/medias/oculus/ (some panoramas taken in Iceland, Olafur ! If you remember we met at Iceland2013)
It worked well with DK1 + NPVR plugin, and I have tried to install the new version of NPVR : the link on this page https://github.com/CodingCooky/npvr/#npvr "Download the repository.zip " doesn't work I get the message "Not found"... I have sent an email to the author, but no answer until now.
Does anybody has an idea ? Or already downloaded the file ?
I would be so happy
Best regards, Philippe
Hi,

Thanks for your answer, Klaus ! But...
Hi,
use the 'Download ZIP' button on the right:
This is what I did a few days ago... But it doesn't work for me, I already get the message "NPVR required..." The npvr_64.dll date is november 8, I think it is the last version.
Same version, same problem, I don't understand why. I tried a lot of ideas, nothing works...
You wrote on your website
Note - this is only a temporary solution - there will be be later a dedicated krpano version with direct stereoscopic support (only one viewer with the possibility to switch anytime between normal and VR mode).
Do you have any idea of the release date of this (great/fantastic/amazing/.../...) future player ???
Best regards
Philippe
